Muslim Taxi Driver In Thane Beaten Up By 4 Men And Forced Him To Chant “Jai Srhi Ram”

The Thane Police have arrested three men for brutally beating up a taxi driver and for forcing him to chant “Jai Shri Ram” after they found out that he was Muslim.

The three men are currently facing the charges under the Indian Penal Code Sections 295 and 392.

DCP S S Burse said that Faizal Usman Khan, the taxi driver, took passengers to Diva, Maharashtra on June 22, 2019 night.

When Faizal was returning from the town he got into an altercation with a group of men who were believed to be drunk.

Faizal said that the group started to beat him up and when they found out that he was Muslim, they forced him to chant “Jai Shri Ram”.

DCP Burse said that they have arrested 3 out of the 4 men who beat up Faizal on June 22, 2019.

The police are currently trying to arrest the fourth man who is currently on the run.

Authorities did not reveal the name of the three men and the fourth man who is yet to be arrested.
