Angul, Odisha: The 8-year-old girl that was kidnapped on July 20, 2019 evening was found unconscious in a garbage dump, the girl had injuries on her body and had bruises all over her. Local police are considering the case as a kidnap and rape case.

Officials found the minor lying unconscious in a garbage dump with a number of injuries.

The girl is currently recovering in the district hospital of Angul, the police said that her health condition is currently stable.

The police believe that the minor was kidnapped, abused, raped, and was dumped afterward.

The police have asked for a medical examination that will confirm if she was raped.

The police said that the 8-year-old girl went missing on Saturday evening when she was sleeping inside her house with her parents.

Narsingha Bhol, the DIGP (Deputy Inspector General of Police), said that the investigating officers have gathered some information during their preliminary investigations.

DIGP Bhol added that they will be recording the statement of the girl after the doctors allow them to.

A forensic team has also been sent out to gather pieces of evidence in the crime scene.
