Police Constable Arrested At Amarnath Yatra In Jammu For Filming Women Taking A Bath At Railway Station Camp
On Friday, a police constable was arrested after he was caught filing videos of woman devotees taking a bath at a camp in the ongoing Amarnath Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Trikuta Nagar Police Station registered a complaint against Tariq Ahmed, a police constable that is part of the 19th battalion of the Indian Reserve Police.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Tariq Ahmed used his personal smartphone to record the women who were taking a bath in a railway station camp on July 5, 2019.
The women saw Tariq filming them and raised an alarm.
He was handed to the local police and a complaint was registered against him.
Tariq is currently facing charges under the Ranbir Penal Code section 354, which is for intent to outrage the modesty of women.
Tariq was released on bail after he was detained by the police.
The police have also seized the mobile he used for filming the women.
