Police Constable In New Delhi Caught Driving Car Without License, Insurance, And Pollution Certificate, Fined

A constable with the Delhi Police was caught driving his car without license, insurance, pollution certificate, and with tinted windows.

The police officer was fined on the spot by the traffic enforcers, and the Delhi Police ordered a disciplinary action to be taken against the constable.

According to the police, a man and a woman approached a zonal officer that was on duty at the Mori Gate Red Light, and complained about a Hyundai Accent with a Delhi registration number and a black tinted window was parked near the traffic light.

The man and the woman, whose identity was not shared with the public, said that the car belonged to Constable Vishal Dabas.

Constable Dabas was fined for violating the Motor Vehicles Act of New Delhi and for not having a license, insurance, and a Pollution certificate.

The car of Constable Dabas has been impounded.

Constable Dabas said the car is owned by his brother, and he was borrowing it when he was caught.

The Delhi Police said a departmental action against Constable Dabas for misconduct has been launched.
