During the Pariksha Par Charcha 2.0 event in Delhi, PM Modi had an interaction with parents and their children regarding the PUBG Mobile addiction everyone is talking about.

A mother was seen complaining about the addiction his son has over the game which leads her son not studying, the PM said “PUBG-wala hai kya? (Does he play PUBG?)” Jokingly. The audience laughed at his joke, after that he got serious and started to give his thoughts about the addiction every kid has on playing PUBG.

Prime Minister Modi said: “Explore ways in which you encourage your children towards accepting and understanding technology, But remember, technology should be used to expand our horizons, not to let it shrink us in our life. It should not be allowed to narrow us down, as that would be very harmful to us.”

He also said: “Like everything else, technology to comes with its positives and negatives. As parents, we must guide our children to get the most from technology. Encourage their inquisitiveness on learning about various apps… like how to build something, or cook something.”

The Prime Minister said that it is good that parents are concerned about their children, he also said that they should let their children play in the playground rather than the PlayStation.

Prime Minister Modi also commented the ban of PUBG Mobile in primary schools in Gujarat, he also said that the game will be banned in Jammu and Kashmir too.

PUBG is available in Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The most popular in India is the mobile version of the game, globally PUBG gets around 30 million daily users.
