Rajasthan: 6-Year-Old Boy Tied To A Tree And Thrashed For Plucking Guavas At A Farm In Dausa
According to the Lalsot Police Department, a boy, who is around 6-years-old, was tied to a tree and was brutally thrashed by the owners of a farm, after he was caught plucking guavas from a tree without asking their permission.
According to ASP Anil Chauhan of Dausa, the boy was tied to a tree and was thrashed by the adults.
The incident reportedly happened in the Prahladpura village, in Dausa district, Rajasthan.
ASP Anil Chauhan released a statement about the incident to Times of India.
The statement says, “After the video surfaced, we could not figure out if it was from Dausa or Sawai Madhopur. After investigation, we found it was from the former district.”
The statement added, “We traced the family of the boy and found that they had not registered any complaint.”
The owners of the farm reportedly did the horrible act just because the kid was caught stealing guavas.
In the video, which was not shared with the public, the men could be heard saying “chili powder should be put on his private parts.”
After the video went viral, the local police and the juvenile welfare official visited the family of the boy.
The police said the family of the boy was reluctant to register a case against the owners of the farm.
However, the juvenile welfare department lodged a First Information Report against the accused.
The accused was also booked under sections 143, 323, and 324 of the Indian Penal Code.
ASP Chauhan continued, “We have registered an FIR against those who thrashed the child. Although the family was not keen on taking any action against the accused due to various reasons, the matter cannot be taken lightly.”
An official investigation has also been launched by the authorities in Rajasthan.
