Basketball player Satnam Singh Bhamara from Punjab took the world by storm when he became the first Indian player ever to be selected in a National Basketball Association (NBA) team in the United States of America.

He is now the India’s professional basketball player for the Texas Legends of the NBA Development League. It is indeed a matter of great pride for the entire nation to see an Indian compete amongst the finest in the game.

And if you are a fan of Satnam, basketball or biopics, there is some good news coming your way.

Yes, Satnam Singh recently said that it would be a proud moment for him if any Indian filmmaker decides to make a film on his life and journey.

In fact, he has also disclosed about the actor whom he wants to play his character on the big screen. Yes, he feels Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan would be the best to play his character on the silver screen.

He added that given his height and an interest in the game, Abhishek Bachchan would be the best fit to play his character.

On the other hand, junior Bachchan heard about Satnam’s wish and he agreed to do the film, but with one small condition.

Abhishek also stated that if Satnam does fulfill the condition, he will do the film for free.

Satnam Singh, who hails from Barnala in Punjab, created history in 2015 by becoming the first Indian to get drafted into NBA, an elite professional basketball league.

Already a documentary named, ‘One in a billion’ has been made on Satnam’s life. The film showcased his journey from a small town in Punjab to the topmost basketball league in the world.

When asked him if he follows Bollywood, he said: “Akshay Kumar, Abhishek, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor are few of the actors that I love to watch on screen. Salman Khan also does good movies.”
