Akshay Kumar Learned Bengali for His Upcoming Film Gold from Kolkata

You will see Akshay Kumar starring in many upcoming movies in 2018-2019. But in a recent feature, you will see him in movie Gold. The teaser of the film is already out and also beloved by the audience pretty well.

 

 

On this Saturday filmmakers have also released the trailer for the film. The teaser is 56 seconds long, but the shocking part of the teaser is that Akshay Kumar is talking in a robust Bengali Accent.

Now the audience is shocked that how it is possible to speak Bengali with such ease. After all, he does not belong to Bengal. He is born and grown up in Delhi and then shifted to Mumbai for his carrier.

He is playing the role of East Indian State man in the movie Gold. So the script demands to speak in Bengali. Reema Kagti directs the film.

Mouni Roy who is TV actress before is making her debut in this movie with Akshay Kumar. The film is based on hockey sports and covers all the moments when India win the first gold medal in Olympic.

 

 

Akshay who is part of more than 100 films in Bollywood. He never played the role of Bengali in any of his movies.

Akshay Kumar’s Statement

In an exclusive interview, he was asked about this Bengali accent. Then he said I invested a year in playing this Bengali man.
“I am so passionate about winning a gold medal for my country at London,” He said this line especially in Bengali accent while interviewing.

Very few people know that I spend two years of my life in Kolkata it was sometime in the 1980s. After that two years, I also worked in Dhaka for six months. That experience helps me a lot while I was shooting for the gold.

The movie is going to be released on the occasion of Independence Day. Before this film, most of his movies were hit the screen on 15 August including Rustom and Toilet Ek Prem Katha.

 

 

Akshay said that another artist take all the other occasion for the release, so I decided to pick up this date for the release of gold.
