It cannot get bigger than this in Bollywood, as the three of the Bollywood biggies — Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Karan Johar have joined hands for a movie.

A big-ticket entertainer is in the making, as superstar Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Karan Johar are coming together for a movie slated to release in 2018. Yes, the trio took to their social media accounts to make one the first biggest announcements of the New Year.

The ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ will be jointly producing the film under his banner Salman Khan Films (SKF ) in association with Karan’s Dharma Productions. The post was accompanied by a black and white picture of the three.

The announcement was made late yesterday night simultaneously by Salman, Akshay, and Karan. Taking to Twitter, all three tweeted from their respective accounts to make public the big news.

Karan, who has previously worked with Salman in his debut “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,” said he is “supremely excited” about the movie to be directed by Anurag Singh.

Informing about the same Salman took to Twitter to post a pic of himself along with Akshay and Kjo and captioned it as “Joining hands on a project where @akshaykumar is the hero and will be co-produced by @karanjohar and #SKF.”

While the film’s name is not revealed in the tweet, but sources said that it will be directed by national-award winning Punjab director Anurag Singh, who has previously directed films like ‘Punjab 1984’, ‘Jatt and Juliet’, ‘Yaar Annmulle’ and the Hindi film ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’.

It is still not clear if Salman will share screen space with Akshay in this movie or not. However, the actor made it official that Akshay will definitely feature in the lead in this yet-to-be-titled film.

Both Akshay and Salman have earlier featured together in Jaan-E-Mann (2006) and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004). In both the films, the quirky chemistry between the two superstars entertained the audience a lot.

The trio was seen together recently at the event to launch the first look of Robot 2.0. The event was hosted by Karan Johar while Salman was a surprise guest. And with the release of this new flick, many big Bollywood records are sure to be broken.
