Film Industry was literally frozen after acknowledging the kidnap of one of the leading actress Bhavana. According to sources, the actress was driven off from her car by a gang of six persons while she was on her way from Thrissur to Kochi on Friday night after the shoot.

Though she was released after a while, those group now has the pictures of her, through which they thought of blackmailing her.

Various opinions and suspects were noted down regarding this case. But, surprisingly the people behind this incident were the popular film industry personalities which is quite unbelievable. Some other politicians, producers and other crew were listed as suspects though there is no sufficient proof to charge a police probe.

According to the telephonic records, the prime accused Martin, spoke to six prominent persons, including a leading film producer, from the industry, Martin is surprisingly the former driver for the actress.

Coming down to the details, the man who planned this kidnap is Pulsar Sunil, Sunil’s phone records were traced, and the last call he received is from a leading film producer.

From then, the producer’s number is switched off. Soon after the incident, Martin was arrested on the same night and the other two were taken into custody on Sunday night.

Inspector-General of Police P. Vijayan, who is leading the probe team said:

“We have already identified the rest of the gang members and the probe is on. We will inform you at the appropriate time.”

The Police sources further said:

“For about one hour she was in the car with them and they kept driving and later around 10.30 pm she was dropped near the place where she lived.”

When asked about Sunil, his sister said that he doesn’t share fair relations with his family, she further quoted:

“The last time he came was a few months ago and he called me on Friday also. He was working as a driver for people in the film industry.”

Meanwhile, the Former President of the BJP’s state unit V. Muraleedharan believes that the kidnapping is planned by some professional gangs, the leading Malayalam actors like Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi condemned the kidnap and are now fighting for the moral support to the actress.

Muraleedharan, however, gave a statement on the issue, that read:

“There are reports that the actress had suffered after she had differences of opinion with a leading film star. And now with the police saying that this was planned by a professional gang, the police is duty-bound to conduct a fair probe.”

Despite the comprehensive measures taken to prevent such abduction and molestation issues, such incidents, however, became inevitable and the leading Mallu actors gathered at Kochi and expressed their support for actress Bhavana.
