Kannad Director Santosh Diead During A Film Shoot

36-year-old Kannad Director Santosh died during a film shoot on 30th may. According to reports Santosh was with four people of his crew out on a film shoot near Mangalor’s Ermai falls. According to crew members during the shoot, Santosh slipped into the waterfall, later on his body was pulled out by firefighters.

 

 

There is a case filled against crew members under IPC section 304(a)
(Whoever causes the death of any person by doing any rash or negligent act not amounting to culpable homicide…).

 

It was raining heavily the day they were out shooting, and local had also warned them, but unfortunately, none of them paid attention to the locals and carried on their work.

According to sources, it is said that Santosh was wearing a robot costume during the photo shoot and was on location shoot for his upcoming movie.

 

 

 

The flow of water was at its peak due to the rain and when he slipped he feel into a valley which is of 20 feet.

 

After completion of the standard protocol, they have handed over the body to their family.

 

Santosh has directed a movie earlier titled
‘Kanasu – Kannu Teradata’ which received an overwhelming response from the audience and was a kids movie which also leads him to win Laurels. Before getting into films, he had worked in local TV channels as an animator and also had a degree in animation.

It was raining so much that it flooded Mangalore and other cities on Tuesday, from Wednesday many operations started to help manage situations.

 

Approximately 50 or more houses were destroyed in Mangaluru city and 12 in Bantwal. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and MLA D Vedvyas Kamat visited affected areas on following day.

 

 

DC Senthil issued 5 Lakh check to each family who had there Houses destroyed in the rain and to people who died in this catastrophic event on Tuesday.

 

It’s unfortunate news, and we mourn at loss of a talented young actor who was passionate and creative, his negligence of warnings from local somehow shows his passion for what he did.
