Rohit Shetty’s Simmba Just Broke Chennai Express’ Record
Simmba, a movie that is directed by Rohit Shetty has broken the record of Chennai Express, a movie that is also directed by him, Simmba has now become the highest-grossing movie of the action director.
Taran Adarsh a trade analyst reported on Tuesday that Simmba has earned Rs. 227.71 crores so far, while Chennai Express only earned 227.13 crores back in 2013.

This is the eighth consecutive movie by Action Director Rohit Shetty to cross the 100 crore mark in the box office.
Rohit Shetty has directed blockbuster movie series like Golmaal and Singham. Also, Rohit Shetty Directed Dilwale who starred Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan. These are just some of the movies he has directed.
Simmba is still showing in theatres nationwide and worldwide along with movies like Uri: The Surgical Strike and The Accidental Prime Minister. Uri is now in its way to hit the Rs. 50 crore mark, while The accidental Prime Minister has only earned Rs. 14 crores.
