2 Brothers Charged With Murder For Leaving Grandmother To Die In Fire, But Saving Meth Lab

2 New York brothers have been charged with murder for leaving their grandmother to die in a house fire, but managing to rescue their meth lab equipment.

21-year-old Justin Gause and 33-year-old Jarrett Gause are charged with second-degree murder for leaving 82-year-old Gladys Ann Willow, their grandmother, to die during the house fire.

Brook Baker, the Steuben County District Attorney, said that the 2 brothers managed to remove the meth lab from the house during the fire.

Instead of calling the authorities to inform them about the house fire, the brothers went out to buy cigarettes and left their grandmother inside.

The 2 brothers are also facing tampering with evidence charges and reckless endangerment of every firefighter who attended the fire.

The police arrested Jarrett last week.

Justin is currently out on bail.

82-year-old Willow died from the injuries she sustained from the house fire.

According to reports, Willow got trapped in the burning building in Elmira, New York.

Justin and Jarrett were initially charged with manslaughter, but they were upgraded to second-degree murder because of the severity of their reckless behavior.

Investigations revealed that the house was being used as a meth lab.
