Wyatt Hass, a 5-year-old boy from Montana, is diagnosed with brain cancer, and before he started his treatment, the little boy had a wish, and that was to ride a Unicorn.

Zach Haas, the father of Wyatt, said his son had been feeling sick and had headaches before he got diagnosed with medulloblastoma on November 15, 2019.

Medulloblastoma is a rare brain cancer that is found in the cerebellum, which is the lower back part of the brain. This type of cancer can easily spread throughout the spinal cord. The treatment of this type of cancer usually consists of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.

A day after the discovery, Wyatt underwent a surgery that removed a part of the tumor.

Before the surgery, Wyatt felt different and didn’t have fun.

Zach, the father of Wyatt, said, “The last couple months he’s been in so much discomfort. He hasn’t been laughing, playing… having fun.”

He added, “I think after the surgery he was being himself again,”

The 5-year-old boy was later accepted to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

The family departed from their home in Montana to get Wyatt the treatment he needed.

But before they left, Wyatt wanted to say goodbye to his friends and ride a unicorn.

The community gave the little boy a special surprise.

Jennifer Nielsen, a mother of one of Wyatt’s classmates, heard about how much he loved unicorns, so she set up a unicorn ride for the boy.

Jennifer owns a number of horses, and she ended up decorating a white horse so it can look like a unicorn.

Jennifer used washable animal chalk so she can turn the horse into a colorful unicorn and surprised Wyatt at a local park.

The little boy was surprised by his classmates and teacher.

Zach recalled the incident and said, “I don’t think he expected to see a unicorn at the park. I think he just expected to see friends. He was super excited.”

Wyatt and his mother left for Memphis on December 6, 2019.

Earlier this month, Wyatt had a second brain surgery, which was done to remove more of the tumor.
