7 Kids Missing After Vehicle Carrying 29 People Fell Into A Canal in Lucknow

Earlier today, a vehicle that was carrying 29 people fell into the Indira Canal in Nagram, Lucknow. Authorities said that 7 kids are still missing.

The vehicle that was carrying 29 passengers was returning from a wedding.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the driver of the vehicle lost control of the vehicle and crashed it to the Indira Canal.

The accident happened on June 20, 2019 3 AM.

Residents of the area managed to rescue 22 passengers, but they did not see the 7 children.

The government of Bihar has launched a search and rescue operation for the missing children, they have also assigned a team of the NDRF for the operation.

SK Bhagat, a Senior Police Officer, of the Nagram Police Station, said that the strong water flow in the canal made the search and rescue operation for the missing children difficult.

Officer Bhagat added that divers have been brought to the area so they can help in the search and rescue operation.

Officials have also placed nets in the canal.
