An 11-year-old boy was savaged to death by 2 brown bears after the beasts dragged him inside their cage in Russia.

The 11-year-old boy was reportedly thrown around by the predators like a ball as he was being mauled.

The boy was trying to show off his bravery in front of 2 girls and even tried to pose for a picture close with the 2 brown bears.

The girls, who are reportedly at the same age as his, watched in horror as the bears clawed and bit their friend.

The girls screamed for helped and called their parents, however, it was too late.

Staff at the guest house shot the predators dead so that the body could be retrieved.

An ambulance crew confirmed the death of the boy.

A resident said:

He (the boy) opened the gate, went in, wanting to take a picture…. He slapped the bears’ paws to show how cool he was. A hole had been dug under the cage and they just pulled the boy through this. They were tossing him around like a ball. He was all broken.

A criminal case has reportedly been opened for the incident.

The Russian Investigative Committee is now looking into the incident.

According to reports, the bears had been caged at the guest house after they were found by rangers as orphaned cubs.

The girls are currently getting physiological help to recover from the horrible incident.
