16-Year-Old Girl Who Was Scared Of Dogs Overcomes Fear And Saves Dog’s Life

16-year-old Anita Valkova was really scared of dogs, but she had to overcome her fears when she saw students pelting Alfeiya, an injured dog, lying in a schoolyard in Bulgaria.

Valkova shared the entire incident on Reddit, a forum on the internet.

Anita said, “A group of kids were throwing stones at her and when I saw this little pooch all covered in blood, I knew I had to take action.”

Even with the fact that Valkova was really scared of approaching dogs, but she knew she could not leave the poor dog to suffer.

Anita swallowed her fear and stepped up and save the dog.

Anita waited for 2 hours with the dog, until her father arrived.

Because of the dog’s condition, her father didn’t want to bring the car with them. But a friend of Anita carried the injured dog with them and helped them brought the dog to a vet.

After the dog was brought to a vet, they cleaned the dog, fed it, and gave antibiotics for her wounds.

The vet said the dog was suffering from demodectic mange.

A day after, the mother of Anita came to visit the dog at the vets, and with the help of the staff at the vets, Anita managed to convince her mom to welcome the dog into their small family.

Anita said she was still scared of dogs when she brought in Alfeiya, and she said that she wasn’t really sure how the puppy would react with their family.

In her post on Reddit, Anita said, “I gave her a bath, we were both very scared, she of the water and I of her biting me. After I dried her fur she got her claim on my bed.”

After spending some time with the family of Anita, the rescuer said that Alfeiya loved the family and said that she turned out to be a giant sweetheart who wants to be loved.

In her post, Anita said that Alfeiya is like her little baby.

She added, “I think I’m spoiling her a bit too much.”
