8-Year-Old Girl Dies After Getting Stung 65 Times By Frenzied Hornets While Stuck On Fence

An 8-year-old girl has died after she got stuck on a fence while fleeing hornets stung her 65 times, causing her to die.

The horrific attack on 8-year-old Nur Nazihah Mohd Sabri happened in Dungun, which is near the city of Kuala Terengganu in Malaysia on May 30, 2020.

Doctors later confirmed that she had died at around 1:30 the following day.

The little one had been playing with her 6-year-old brother, Muhammad Azib, and friends on Saturday last week at a hilltop near their house.

Muhamad was rushed to the Dungun Hospital at around 8 pm before she got rushed to the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital.

The mother of the children said that her daughter was extremely weak when the incident happened.

Nazihah had died after being stung 65 times by the hornets.

Dr. Nor Azimi Yunus, the health director of Terengganu, said:

She died due to internal organ failure from toxins released by the hornet stings.

Local media added that the girl became stuck on a fence while other children fled away from the hornets.

The mother of the 8-year-old, whose identity was not shared with the public, said:

I don’t know how they could have gone there as my husband and I have reminded them time and time again to avoid the area.

Let’s hope that the brother of the 8-year-old girl recovers fast.
