An adorable smart little squirrel is currently viral on the internet because it waits outside the backdoor of his human friends every single day so he could get a peanut.

These small creatures are known to hide nuts so they could feed themselves throughout the cold winter.

But this one is going on begging for nuts.

It is reported that this creature is known on the door of an apartment in Portland, Oregon to get some nuts for free.

In videos that are shared with us on the internet, the squirrel is seen brazenly peering in through the window trying to catch the attention of the owner of a house.

The squirrel then waited for the kind human to open the glass door and get his nut.

The owner was also heard asking a question to the squirrel in the video.

The owner asked: ‘Good morning, would you like another peanut?’

The adorable little creature then reached out across the threshold to grab the treat in its mouth before crunching into the shell to secure their grip on the nut and runoff.

The owners of the house said that this particular squirrel comes to their house and gets his daily peanut for the winter or for his snacks.

According to official numbers, a single squirrel can bury up to 10,000 nuts per year.

They can also hide nuts over the area of 5 football fields.

The best thing about these small creatures is that they use their memory to find the nuts that they buried months earlier instead of using their smell.

They also use landmarks to help build a memory map for the nuts.
