A family in Australia set up a birdbath outside their house with hopes of attracting a huge amount of birds, but they ended up attracting something else.

One day, the family went on to check the birdbath that they set up to make sure that the water level of the tub was okay.

Instead of finding birds bathing in the tub, the family ended up discovering a huge carpet python that was big enough to fit in the entire tub.

In the bath was a very large carpet python, it was so huge that the family ended up calling a snake catcher.

The family, whose identity was not shared with the public, contacted Stuart McKenzie of the Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 and made sure that everything was okay.

Stuart said, “We do often find snakes hanging around water like birdbaths and water features in people’s yards.”

Stuart added, “To cool down and get out of the heat of the day. He may have been going through the sloughing (shedding skin) phase and this would help with that.”

The snake enjoyed his bath and stayed inside the birdbath for some time before moving on.

Stuart said, “The family were happy to leave him there.”

Stuart added, “The snake eventually moved on.”

The snake had an amazing time though!
