Baby Girl Airlifted To A Hospital After Staffordshire Bull-Terrier Pet Dog Mauled Her

A baby girl from Mynydd Isa, Flintshire, Wales, was airlifted to a hospital after the pet dog of her grandfather mauled her.

The Staffordshire Bull-Terrier dog bit the girl on her head at a house on August 31, 2019.

The baby girl was airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool, where she is currently admitted in a hospital and is receiving professional medical care.

The Alder Hey Hospital is a hospital in Liverpool that specializes in treating kids.

The grandfather of the baby girl said that the baby was playing in the back room of the house when she banged her finger and screamed out loud.

The grandfather added that the dog bit her on her head afterward.

The baby girl is now recovering in the hospital, the doctors did not reveal the real age of the girl or her current health status.

But the grandfather said that the girl underwent a scan on September 1, 2019.

The grandfather added that the baby girl has been playing with toys at the hospital and had a Kit-Kat for breakfast.

The grandfather also confirmed that the dog, Duke, is going to be put down.

During his interview, he said, “I have signed the dog over. It is going to be destroyed.”

The granddad then thanked the emergency services for their quick response time and their care.

The spokesman of the NWP (North Wales Police) released a statement about the incident.

The spokesman said, “North Wales Police and the Air Ambulance were called to a property at Mynydd Isa around 4.45pm on Saturday August 31, following an incident involving a dog attack. Police are carrying out house to house enquiries in the area.”

The Welsh Ambulance Service said that they received a call about the incident by 4:30 PM.
