A heartless 26-year-old pet owner from the US was arrested by the police for throwing his 2 dogs to their death from his apartment’s balcony.

The police arrested Zachary Hanson for chucking the dogs off his balcony on Monday this week.

The horrible incident happened in Arlington, Virginia, USA.

The cops were called to the scene and the pets were rushed to an animal hospital, in a bid to save their lives.

However, the poor animals died.

Henson was arrested at 2:30 pm.

He is currently in jail and is facing 2 felony counts of animal cruelty.

Ashley Savage, the spokeswoman of the Arlington County Police Department, released a statement about the incident.

She said:

One belonged to the suspect, the other belonged to someone known to the suspect.  To best protect the identity of the victim, we will not release additional information related to their relationship. What preceded the incident is under investigation.

The ages and the breeds of the dogs were not shared with the public.

Henson is currently in jail without bond.

He will have a preliminary hearing about the incident in Arlington General District on August 28, 2020.

He could face up to 5 years in prison if he gets convicted of the charges.
