Dallas, USA: A dog shot a man in his leg after the paw of the pooch got stuck on the trigger of the weapon.

Well, that’s something I thought I would have never going to read or hear about.

The man was reportedly shot after the dog, who was not identified, accidentally set off his gun as he bent down to pick up the puppy.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the pistol was tucked into the unidentified man’s waistband when the paw of the dog got caught on the trigger.

The man ended up being shot in the thigh after the weapon was fired.

The injury that he sustained in the incident is not life-threatening.

According to authorities, the man drove himself to a local hospital in order to get treatment.

Local Plano Police Officer David Tilley talked to the Dallas Morning News about the unfortunate incident.

He told the news station:

Fortunately, it was just a through and through shot — it didn’t hit a main artery or anything.  He took himself to the hospital and he’s fine.

The Plano Police released a warning to the people that are carrying firearms.

They reminded individuals to make sure that the holster is safe.

The police said:

If you have a License to Carry, we ask for your safety and the safety of others, be responsible.
