Exhausted Kangaroo Finds Backyard Pool To Cool Down After His House Got Burned Down

An exhausted kangaroo was seen cooling down in a swimming pool, located in the backyard of a residential house, on a 42 degrees Celsius day.

Sharon Grady, a resident, caught the kangaroo in her pool in Merriwa, which is located in the Upper Hunter Region of New South Wales.

Forests in Merriwa were destroyed by a bushfire earlier this year.

On December 1, the RFS tweeted out a warning to the residents of the area.

The tweet said, “If you are in the area southwest of Merriwa and you are not prepared, leave now towards Merriwa.”

On Saturday, which is the day of the incident, the temperature hit 42 degrees Celsius.

A video of the incident was shared on social media by 98.1 Power FM, a local radio station in Merriwa NSW.

The video went viral right away and it showed the kangaroo sitting still in the pool trying to cool down itself from the hot temperature.
