Heartless People Kill Hedgehog By Strapping Firework To Animal’s Head Before Setting It Off

A hedgehog died in a cruel way after heartless people killed it by strapping a firework to its head before setting it off.

The incident happened in Lancashire, West England.

Reports suggest that the animal sustained really severe injuries that forced the medical doctors to put it down after the incident.

The incident happened on November 8, 2019.

The Lancashire Police made a post on Facebook and asked the members of the public to come forward if they have any information about the cruel incident.

The post that they made stated, “It comes with great sadness to say that the hedgehog has had to be put down due to the extent of its injuries.”

It added, “We request that anyone who may have any information regarding this incident come forward.”

The incident comes after the ban on the sale of fireworks in Sainsbury stores to protect animals and children.

Pet owners loved the new decision as fireworks are known for scaring animals when they go off.

Earlier this month, 2 boys admitted that they killed a hedgehog by kicking it to death. The 2 boys are school goers in Sunderland, and they pleaded guilty to 5 wildlife offenses in court.
