Horse Is Rescued By Firefighters From Open Septic Tank In Florida
Florida, USA: Firefighters in Florida had to come out and save something they do not get to save on a daily basis.
Firefighters had to go to a property to rescue a horse that fell into a septic tank.
The horse was submerged in sewage.
Marion County Fire Rescue said they had to dispatch rescuers to a property in Belleview after a horse named Buddy Bear accidentally plunged into an open septic tank.
The horse was having a hard time climbing back out of the septic tank.
The Special Operations HAZMAT Heavy Rescue 1 and Technical Rescue Team Heavy Rescue 2 of the Marion County Fire Rescue were sent to the scene.
A firehouse was used to harness around the horse to save it.
Buddy Bear, the horse that was rescued, is 40 years old.
The firefighters and the special rescue team successfully rescued the horse by pulling it back to the ground above.
A vet was also brought in to the scene to examine Buddy Bear after he was brought out of the open septic tank.
Fire Rescue officials said that the horse was not seriously injured from the incident.
The horse is currently recovering from the minor injuries that it had sustained.
