Indonesian Snake Charmer Dies After Getting Bitten By Massive 16.5ft King Cobra While Showing Off Magic Skills

An Indonesian snake charmer was killed after he tried to show off to villagers by teasing a king cobra, who managed to bite him twice.

Norjani, the black magic shaman, caught a huge king cobra a week ago in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, and kept it inside a wooden hut.

The shaman kept the snake for traditional medicine before bringing it out to show his neighbors.

In images that were shared with the public, the shaman can be seen playing with the cobra as it became angry.

The shaman can be seen laughing as the snake hissed and lunged towards him.

The king cobra, which was around 16.5 feet long, plunged its deadly fangs into the arms of the shaman, which led the residents to tell him to stop.

Instead of stopping, the shaman waved his hands and continued to smile as he tried to do the same routine.

The king cobra bit the shaman 2 times, once on his arm and the second time on his face.

Despite claiming to be the best snake shaman healer in the Mempawah district in Indonesia, Norjani didn’t know what was waiting for him.

After his performance, the shaman started to feel sick and was rushed to a hospital in the district.

The doctors at the hospital gave him an anti-venom antidote with hopes of saving him.

Unfortunately, the poison had already spread throughout the body of the shaman.

Norjani was later pronounced dead.

The family of Norjani was so devastated that they killed the massive king cobra by chopping off its venomous head.

They killed the cobra as an act of avenge, which is believed to avenge the evils spirits around them.

Dede Hasanudin, the Police Chief, confirmed that the incident happened.

According to the police chief, the incident happened in the Pak Utan Village, where Norjani had a reputation for his bizarre acts with wild animals.

The shaman was known for showing off his snake charming skills to locals and tourists.

Chief Hasanudin released a statement about the incident, where he said, “It is true that Norjani, or Nek Tadong as he was also known, was bitten and killed by the snake. At around 6.30 pm the victim was taken to the clinic located in Menjalin District and was treated, but it was too late to save him.”

The statement added, “He was buried the next day and the family of the dead man killed the snake. Residents in the village knew that the victim used to keep many animals, including cobras.”

The statement continued, “He was also good at treating people with traditional techniques and was known in the village as a shaman.”

What About King Cobras?

The King Cobra is a type of snake that is considered to be one of the most deadliest species of snake on planet earth.

These snakes are usually found in Southern Asia.

People who get bites from the snake are expected to suffer redness and extreme swelling around the wound, along with vomiting, difficulty in breathing, sweating, blurred vision, nausea, numbness in the face, limbs, and salivating.

If bitten by the deadly snake, victims are advised to remain still so the blood circulation can be slowed and the venom of the snake doesn’t spread around the body.

Also rush to the nearest hospital so you can get treated right away.
