Man Brings 300 Stray Animals Inside His House To Help Protect Them From Deadly Hurricane

A man from Mexico ended up bringing 300 stray animals inside his house so he could protect them from getting injured or dying during the landfall of a massive and deadly hurricane.

Hurricane Delta placed everyone on high alert, which includes Ricardo Pimentel.

The man works in Tierra de Animales, an animal sanctuary, and he just knew that he had to do something to protect the animals there.

After realizing that the sanctuary was not hurricane-proof, the man took the dogs, cats, and other animals there.

Around 300 animals ended up staying inside the house of Ricardo during the landfall of the hurricane.

He did this to ensure that the animals stay safe.

Not only did he bring the animals in, but he also bought a lot of food for the animals and other necessities for the animals.

He did this to make sure that everything would go smoothly for the animals.

Talking about the moment and his plan to keep the animals safe, Ricardo told the Bored Panda:

Those 300 dogs that I took into my house are some of the ones that already live at Tierra de Animales. It’s just that we don’t have enough hurricane-proof shelters for all the dogs, so to keep them safe from that, we decided to put them in the house. They were very well-behaved all night during the meteorological phenomenon. They are all spayed and neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed. Almost all of them are ready to be adopted. I have been rescuing animals almost all my life since I was a kid, and I founded Tierra de Animales 9 years ago. We not only rescue dogs, but also cats, turtles, iguanas, cows, sheep, goats, pigs, horses, donkeys, etc. We work with the help of people from all over the world, who donate whatever they can. Of course, after all the damage that the hurricane Delta left behind, we need more help than ever, especially because we are going to build more and better shelters for all the animals of the sanctuary.

Ricardo also shared the pictures of the animal’s safety waiting inside his home.

The images were shared on social media and they went viral right away.

As a result of him going viral on social media, love, support, and even donations were poured to Ricardo for his kind act.

Sadly the hurricane ended up leaving the animal shelter devastated.

A lot of property got destroyed in the entire incident, said Ricardo.
