Man Wrestles And Punches 160 Kilogram Brown Bear To Save His Pet Dog While It Was Being Dragged Away

Dangerous, but it worked!

A man from the United States of America is currently viral on the internet right now after they punched a 160-kilogram bear in order to save the life of their pet dog.

Kaleb Benham, the man, was spending a regular day inside his house in Grass Valley, California, USA, when he heard a strange noise that was coming out of the garden.

When going out to see, he was shocked to see that a massive brown bear was dragging Buddy, his pet dog, away.

I mean, that’s scary.

Without caring about his safety, Benham went straight for the bear.

The man grabbed the bear by its throat and started to punch the massive one in the face and even targeted its eyes.

The attacks that were carried by Benham made the massive grizzly bear release the dog, and the owner managed to pull him to safety.

Kaleb recalled the incident when he was being interviewed by CBS News.

During the interview, he said:

I heard a growl, looked about 75-100 feet down, and the bear was dragging him by his head, had his head in his mouth. Honestly, the only thing I could think of was ‘save my baby’. I just ran down there, plowed into the bear, tackled it, and grabbed it by the throat and started hitting it in the face and the eye until it let go.

Vets were not available for help at that time, so Kaleb said that he found an animal hospital and made sure that his dog got help.

Buddy had to get a number of stitches and staples for the injuries that they had received during the horrible incident.

Tubes had to be inserted into their head in order to drain some excess fluid.

The dog is now recovering well, said the owner.

Kaleb currently fears that the bear might come back and do damage at the property or attack his pet dog again.
