New Zealand Man Buys Turtles From Local Food Market And Releases Them Back To The Sea

Thanks to a kind and caring man, two lovely sea turtles were saved and were released back to their natural habitat, the sea.

Instead of ending up as a meal in Papua New Guinea, Arron Culling and Mark, his co-worker, bought the 2 turtles that were up for sale in a local food market and released them back to the sea.

Arron shared the kind act on Facebook, he wrote, “Found these at the local market. Got them for 50 bucks drove 5km up the road and let them go.”

This is not the first time Arron and Mark have saved turtles from ending up as foods.

Arron said that they have saved around 10 turtles in total from local food markets.

As of now, 7 different species f turtles in the world are endangered due to marine turtle fishing.
