Octopus Hides Inside Diver’s Mouth In Hawaii
Shane Brown, a diver, was caught in an extremely weird moment when an octopus decided to go inside his mouth before thinking twice to get out again.
Brown was in a popular diving spot off Oahu, Hawaii, when he was surprised by an octopus who went to check up his teeth.
The tiny octopus swam up to his face, crawling all over it and went on to get inside his mouth for a dental checkup.
The video that Shane shared on social media showed himself how the octopus started to hide.
As the animal is back free, it swam away free in the sea.
Shane can be later seen smiling towards the camera.
The octopus went inside the mouth of Shane for a couple of seconds, leaving its tentacles visible to the camera.
The octopus jumped out of the mouth and went on to crawl on the legs of Shane’s diving partner.
Talking about the incident, Shane said, “At first he was climbing on my face then went in my mouth.”
He added, “Maybe he was nervous about something else nearby. As soon as he went in, I started recording. I was worried he could suction too strong and might hurt the sensitive skin inside my mouth but he was gentle.”
He continued, “It was only in my mouth for a few seconds. I guess he realized it might not be safe if I was a predator.”
Octopuses are extremely intelligent animals and are known for their great camouflage and escapism.
