Parrots Removed From Safari Park After Teaching Each Other To Swear And Laughing About It

A group of African gray parrots that were quarantined together at a wildlife park in England managed to teach each other how to swear and even laugh about it.

The incident happened at the Lincolnshire Wildlife Park in Lincolnshire, England.

As a result, the parrots had to be removed from the safari park because things were getting out of hand.

The hilarious news was shared by the park’s chief executive, Steve Nichols.

The foul language made the members of the staff to laugh, which encouraged the birds to keep going with the words that they learned.

The parrots even managed to start laughing at their own swear words, which helped them realize that they had to do something about them.

It is not uncommon for parrots to learn words that are bad to say, specifically swear words as they are known to mimic the language of the people that are usually around them.

During an interview with Lincolnshire Live, Nichols said:

But when you get four or five together that have learnt the swearing and naturally learnt the laughing so when one swears, one laughs and before you know it just got to be like an old working men’s’ club scenario where they are all just swearing and laughing.

By the time the park had opened again to the public, the birds had got in the habit of swearing and calling visitors things that people should not hear.

As a result, staff and customers laughed, but this just made the situation worse because the parrots mimicked that again.

The park then ended up moving the parrots in an enclosure until their vocabulary improved.

Nichols said that they placed the parrots in an off-shore enclosure with the intent to help them learn noises that they should be making naturally.

The park will be releasing them out but in separate areas so if they do swear, they won’t be doing it all at once.

This has to be one of the most hilarious animal news that we got to hear this year.
