Police Sniffer Dog Finds Wedding Ring Man Threw Out In Rage After Row With Wife
A police sniffer dog managed to track down a wedding ring that was thrown out by a man after he had a row with his wife.
6-year-old Odin, a German Shepherd, found the lost wedding ring in a couple of seconds on a grass verge.
According to reports the incident happened in Harborne, Birmingham.
Officers pulled over after a man and his friend were acting suspiciously in Northfield Road at around 2:00 GMT on Saturday last week.
Carl Woodall, the handler of the dog, recalled the incident and said, “It was pitch black. They could have spent all night and still not found it.”
The West Midlands Police said that the man, who owned the ring, told the police officers that he is really regretting that he lost control of his anger.
The man said he had been searching the ring with the help of a torch for a couple of hours.
PC Woodall said the ring was really small and he wasn’t sure if Odin could have caught the scent of the man.
Woodall added, “But he proved me wrong and indicated by the ring in a matter of seconds. Odin got a pat and thanks all round. It’s nice to be nice and I was back on patrol in less than five minutes.”
Dogs are arguably the best creatures on this planet.
