England: A video that is viral on Snapchat right now shows a bunch of York teenagers brutally beating up a duck with a baseball bat.

The video shows the teens abusing the duck.

The pair grabbed hold of the bird and threw it into the air as the other person took a swing at it with a baseball bat.

The video was shared on social media with the caption of “Ducks life matter”.

Thomas Hutton, an RSPCA Inspector, said that the attack happened in the York area and was reported for the first time in July this year.

However, the authorities have failed to track down the person and the people in the video.

Hutton has officially appealed to the public to come forward if they have any information about the horrible crime.

Talking about the video, Hutton said:

This is an extremely distressing video which shows two teenagers carrying out an awful act of violence against a poor, defenceless duck. The video of the attack was then posted on social media platform Snapchat which is popular with children and young teenagers and it is particularly troubling that they could easily have witnessed this act of brutality through their phones. If anyone has any information about this we would urge them to contact us in strictest confidence.

It is not known what happened to the duck after the incident or if it is still alive.
