Thailand Zoo Forced A Chimpanzee To Spray Disinfectant From A Bicycle During Coronavirus Lockdown

A Thailand zoo has been slammed on the internet for forcing a chimpanzee to spray disinfectant from a bicycle during the coronavirus lockdown.

Last week, a video that was shared on social media showed a 6-year-old chimpanzee dressed in a Hawaiian shirt and wearing a facemask cycling around with a canister of disinfectant.

The incident happened at the Samutprakarn Crocodile Farm and Zoo in Samut Prakan, Thailand.

The antibacterial liquid sprayed the ground as the chimpanzee cycled around the grounds.

He was also forced to spray down fences after his first task, which is to spray disinfectant from the cycle.

After the video went viral, Varawuth Silpa-archa, the Environment Minister of the country, called the zoo and ordered the owner to stop the activity.

Such a horrible act from a zoo!
