The driver of the safari park did not report the incident to the forest department fearing the department might close the park for some time due to the incident.

A source said the tigress was angry as it did not get a kill for some time as it was recovering from a leg injury.

Sultana reportedly sustained a leg injury in October.

After the thorn injury, Sultana disappeared for some time.

Authorities saw Sultana for the first time since October this year in Zone 1 couple of days ago.

The source added, “To maintain a safe distance from her, the driver might have revved up and driven faster than he should, angering Sultana further.”

To maintain a safe distance, the safari vehicle should have been 50 meters away from the tiger or any wild animal that it encounters.

No one was injured in the incident.

The forest department of the Ranthambore National Park in Jaipur are yet to release an official statement about the incident.
