US Police Officers and their love for shooting.
A police officer from the United States of America shot a family dog for barking after mistaking their house home for a sex offender’s.
Chris Coiner and his family were left devastated after their beloved pet dog was killed.
Clide, a 3-year-old dog, was killed by the officer during a failed incident in Greenbrier, Arkansas, which is located in the USA.
James Freeman, the officer, was supposed to visit a sex offender’s house for a compliance check.
The Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office said that they mistakenly went to the wrong property after being told that was where the officer was living.
Freeman shot the dog because it barked, said Chris Coiner, the owner of the dog.
Coiner filmed himself confronting the police officer after they shot the dog.
He also shared a video of the incident on Facebook, a social media platform.
The furious dog owner shared the video with the caption: “why is he at my house shooting my dog.”
In the video that was shared, the dog could be seen lying on the floor and a family member crouching over him.
Coiner was screaming at the officer and was demanding to know their name.
He could be heard saying in the video: “You shot and killed my goddamn dog. Get off my property, motherf*****. I can’t believe you did that. Get off my property now.”
Clide was treated as a family member and Coiner said that he was like a best friend for his son, who is just 3.
Talking about the incident, Coiner said that he was just livid at the moment.
He added: “He did not make any attempt to get away from it, he didn’t make any attempt to get back in his vehicle, all he did was shoot the dog because he was barking at him.”
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and the dog, may their soul rest in peace.
