Watch: Baby Kangaroo Jumps Back Into Water After Being Rescued By Police

Kangaroos have large feet, and they are so strong that they can jump up to 30 feet, but there is one thing they are not known for, and that’s for their swimming skills.

Locals from Australia found a young Kangaroo paddling around Lake Burley Griffin when they woke up, and they called the authorities to save the animal.

The water police were brought called in after the public calls were made, and they tried their best to rescue the baby kangaroo.

But it looked like the young kangaroo had other plans.

In a video that is now viral, you can see a baby kangaroo being rescued by 2 police officers, who are riding a jet-ski.

In the video above, you can see 2 men standing ready to catch the kangaroo, and 2 police officers trying their best to bring the animal out of the water.

After removing the baby animal out of the water, the kangaroo hopped its way back right into the water and started to swim away.

The short video was posted on Reddit and it went viral right away.

According to reports, the police managed to rescue the young kangaroo from the lake and was safely handed over to animal workers.

The young kangaroo was relocated to a bushland region, where it could hop around.

Dean Isreb, a passerby who saw the entire incident, said the police had to go into the water for the second time to rescue the baby kangaroo.

Dean said, “They went back and got him a second time from the water and some council workers hog-tied him and carried him to their truck.”

The ACT Police released a statement about the incident.

The police said, “ACT Water Police officers were alerted to a kangaroo in the Central Basin of Lake Burley Griffin. Officers rescued the kangaroo from the lake, and handed it to parks workers who relocated the kangaroo to a bushland location.”
