Wilbur Beast: Kentucky Town Elects Adorable Little French Bulldog As Their Mayor
I’m all ears, sir.
A town in Kentucky, USA, has elected an adorable little dog as their mayor.
I mean, why not?
The small town of Rabbit Hash, which has a small community, elected Wilbur Beast, a dog, as its mayor.
Beast, who is a French Bulldog, won the amazing mayor race with 13,143 votes, according to the Rabbit Hash Historical Society.
Not only the win, but his win was the highest winning total ever for the position.
Rabbit Hash, the town, is known for its historic general store that dates back to the 19th century, however, it got destroyed in a 2016 fire.
The store has been rebuilding since that year and the mayoral election serves as a fundraiser where each dollar donated counts as a vote for the candidate of the donor’s choice.
Amy Noland, the official spokesperson of Wilbur, released a statement about the huge win with Fox News.
In the statement, they told Fox News that they thanked both local supporters and others from around the world that gave him the vote.
The statement added:
It’s an exciting adventure and a deeply meaningful cause to preserve the river hamlet town of Rabbit Hash, Ky.. The town welcomes visitors and will continue to provide fun events for all ages to come experience the nostalgia and charm we have to offer.
Over 22,000 votes were cast in this election.
According to reports, it was the highest total ever in their community for one of its elections.
Also, the dog won over Jack Rabbit, a beagle, and golden retriever Poppy.
Such an amazing thing to do!
