Indian family found dead in Iowa with gunshot wounds
On Saturday, the police said an Indian family was found dead with gunshot wounds inside their house in West Des Moines, Iowa.
44-year-old Chandrasekhar Sunkara, 41-year-old Lavanya Sunkara, a 15-year-old and a 10-year-old boy were pronounced as dead.
The city of West Des Moines said this in a news release and added that the 4 were found dead on June 15, 2019.
The West Des Moines police added that the family was staying in the house guests.
A person who found the victims dead ran outside the house and looked for help, the guest eventually found a passer and told the person to call 911.
An autopsy will be performed so the exact cause of the death of the 4 people could be known.
The police said that all 4 of the family members had gunshot wounds.
Sgt. Dan Wade of the West Des Moines Police Department, said “This tragedy will impact family, friends, co-workers, anyone that knew this family.”
Sgt. Dan Wade added “We are continuing to work through this investigation. We will follow through until we have answered as many questions as the evidence allows.”
