Arnav Gupta, the man who set himself on fire outside the white house has passed away from his burn injuries.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Park Police and the Secret Service of the USA responded to a threat in security.

The police had to use a fire extinguisher to save the man, he was then rushed to a hospital.

Officials added that he passed away on Wednesday evening.

Nearly 70 security officers from different agencies were brought in during the incident.

Arnav Gupta lived in Bethesda, which is located near Maryland.
