A mother was raped by her son’s best friend after she invited him for a cup of tea and chat.

Carlyn Thompson, the mother, knew Gregory Houslin, the rapist, since he was just 14 years old.

But in 2005, Houslin, who was 23 years old at that time, visited Carlyn and raped her after she made him a cup of tea.

Houslin, who is now 38, was jailed for 5 years and 6 months for raping Carlyn.

Carlyn Thompson, the victim, is keeping the details of her location secret because she still thinks Huoslin may come back for her.

Carlyn, who is a retired 58-year-old teacher, said the former best friend of her son nearly ruined her entire life.

She said, “He nearly ruined my life but I’m now trying to move forward and let other women know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.”

Carlyn said she met Houslin in 1996 when Dom and Matthew, her sons, brought him to their house after school.

Talking about Houslin, the retired teacher said, “He was polite and seemed like a typical teenage boy. After that, whenever I came home from work, Gregory was always upstairs with my sons, listening to music and playing games.”

In 2002, the sons of Houslin moved out after finishing school.

Houslin remained in touch with the mother and visited her twice each year.

On the day of the rape attack, the retired teacher invited him for a cup of tea, where they talked about work and their family.

The mother said, “I realized it was late and I told Gregory I should get some sleep. I opened the front door, expecting him to leave, but he told me he wasn’t going anywhere.”

Matthew, the son of Carlyn, was living across the street when the incident happened.

The mother said she tried to call her son, but got no answer.

She tried to get Houslin out for 20 minutes but he refused.

The best friend of her son gripped her by her arms and pulled her on a sofa.

Recalling the horrible incident, Carlyn said, “I was still holding my phone so I dialed 999 but I dropped it before I could find the call button. Then Gregory ripped my trousers and ­underwear off.”

She added, “I screamed, ‘I’m being raped. Help me!’ But no one came. Gregory put his hand over my mouth. Then he raped me.”

Carlyn grabbed her phone and managed to go to the bathroom, where she called the authorities, informing them about what happened.

As she was in the bathroom, Houslin appeared behind her.

Carlyn said, “Moments later, I heard sirens outside, so I pushed past him and sprinted out the front door. My sons were distraught and couldn’t believe what he had done.”

In September 2005, Houslin, who is from Watford, was found guilty of rape at the St. Albans Crown Court.

In 2009, Houslin was released from prison.

Carlyn, the victim, said she bumped into him in a café.

In 2014, Carlyn moved to Scotland.

Talking about her current situation, Carlyn said, “I’m finally coming to terms with what happened.”
