Australia: A former childcare worker has been accused of being the leader of a pedophile ring, where it is reported that his own kids, dogs, and siblings were abused.

The childcare worker, who is from Townsville, was arrested on Thursday.

The 39-year-old father is charged with 104 child sex offenses, the offending happened between 1995 and 2020.

He is also accused of taking images of the victims and using them as content to abuse them for a number of years.

The police have identified 12 potential victims, 2 males, and 10 females, who are aged from infancy to 16 years old.

The police said that 1 of the victims is an adult.

David Miles, a Detective Senior Sergeant, said that a 2-year-old girl, a victim, was rescued from a home in Cairns this week.

It is reported that the young girl was being passed around as a result of the exchange of drugs.

Senior Sergeant Miles said some of the alleged offending could have happened at a childcare center, however, they believe most of them were against the own children of the main suspect.

Investigators have been working closely with the childcare center involved, however, they did not release the name of the center.

The man targeted women that had young children, said Sgt. Miles.

Sgt. Miles added:

He has then been providing them with drugs for the purpose of sedating his victims for the purpose of conducting his offenses.

The man, whose identity was kept as a secret, will be appearing in the Townsville Magistrates Court on September 29.

The arrest of the 39-year-old pedophile came after a large-scale investigation.

Hard-drives, telephones and USB sticks were seized by the authorities, and they helped the authorities track down the people involved.

3 other people have been arrested in relation to the same offenses.

A 33-year-old man is being accused of 6 counts of distributing child exploitation material.

The man was also charged with using a carriage service to access child abuse material, which produced and possessed drugs.

A 38-year-old woman was also involved. She appeared in Townsville Magistrates Court for allegedly possessing child exploitation material, distributing child exploitation material, and burglary.

The last one is a 49-year-old woman, she was cautioned on 3 counts of bestiality.
