Most of us are willing to go visit Italy and live there for the rest of our lives, but you are now getting an offer that you might not want to miss out.

You could now get almost $50,000 so you could move to the country.

Santo Stefano di Sessanio, a medieval village in Southern Italy, is looking to encourage people to move there in a bid to keep the entire village alive.

The village is only home to 115 people.

Less than 20 people in the village are under the age of 13.

According to a report that was published by CNN Travel, the council of the village is willing to pay $9,318 per year for three years to move there.

They are also offering an additional on-off payment of $23,297 to start your own business.

If that was not enough to get you packing your bags, there’s more than the council is offering.

The council will also be offering a home for you to live in for rent.

In short, they just want you to move to the village and help them repopulate the entire place.

But it’s not that easy too.

The town is only offering this once in a lifetime offer to people that are in the age of 18 to 40 and to become eligible, you need to be an Italian or EU citizen.

People are required to stay in the place for 5 years so they could avoid people taking the money and leave afterward.

Fabio Santavicca, the mayor of the town, said:

We’re not selling anything to anyone – this isn’t a business move. We just want to enable the village to continue to live.

Also, the Mayor said that you do not have to start your own business. However, you will have to get a job.

You could end up working as a cleaner, maintenance worker, guide, and staff for the information office of the town.

The council only wants to keep around 10 people or around 5 couples in the village.

This is because the council wants the restoration of the village’s population to be a gradual process.
