Italian Man Is Fined For Walking 280 Miles Away From House After Arguing With His Wife

A 48-year-old man was given a massive fine of €400 after they were caught breaking the curfew rules in Italy.

The man reportedly walked 280 miles from their house after an argument.

The man, who was not named by the authorities, hiked 40 miles per day with no water or food.

He told the police that he was trying to calm down after having a row with his partner.

The authorities picked up the 48-year-old man at around 2 am in Fano, a small town that is located all the way down on the Adriatic coast.

Initially, the authorities did not believe that he managed to walk half the length of the country, however, after talking with his wife, they found out it was real.

The man was reported missing 1 week earlier.

The man said that he was just trying to clear his head and did not have any idea what happened.

The man said:

I got here by foot. I ate and drank because the people I met along the way offered me water and food. I’m fine.

The man was picked up in the middle of the night by the Fano Police officers.

In a bizarre turn of events, the man was then placed in a local hotel for the night.

The wife of the man came to pick him up and she was slapped with the €400 issued to him for violating the country’s 10 pm to 5 am curfew.

Damn, that’s a lot of travel.
