A 32-year-old man raped an 80-year-old pensioner who he said was as “strong like his granny” and told her to make him a cup of tea.

John Laming, the rapist thug, unleashed the horrific attack on the 80-year-old woman near Glasgow, Scotland, last year on Christmas Eve.

It is said that Laming raped the 80-year-old 12 days after being freed from jail.

As the granny was being raped, she yelled for help, but no one heard her, and this is where Laming started to taunt her.

As he raped the granny, he taunted: “Some neighbors you have got.”

The sick thug later sat inside the house and started to drink a can of juice.

After some time, Laming fled the scene but was arrested by the police near Glasgow.

Laming is now back behind bars after he pleaded guilty to a charge of assault and rape.

The sentencing of Laming has been deferred until May 2020.

Laming, a heating engineer, already had a criminal past.

According to the High Court in Glasgow Laming was sentenced to spend 4 years in prison for a robbery that he committed in 2015.

For that crime, Laming was released from jail on December 12, 2019.

The victim was in bed when she was awoken by smashing glass around midnight on Christmas Eve.

Laming confronted her after she got up.

Prosecutor Kath Harper narrated the entire incident.

She said:

“She reached for a metal pole used to open her window. She tried to hit him with it. She was also screaming. Laming said ‘some neighbours you have got’ when no one heard.”

The victim ended up on her bed with Laming leaning over her.

The granny asked Laming, “What are you doing this to an 80-year-old lady for?”

Laming raped her in the dining room of her house and after the attack, he helped the woman to sit on a chair.

He then told her to make a cup of tea as he sat at a table inside the house.

Harper said:

“He told her she was ‘strong like his granny’. He asked if she had any alcohol. The woman told him she did not, but there was some juice. He took a can and told her she had a much nicer house than him.”

After that, Laming went to clear up the broken glass and place all of the mess in a bin, which he took with him.

However, Laming came back to ask for his vape cigarette, which he dropped when he was raping the woman.

The victim soon called her daughter and said that a person had broken inside the house.

The police arrived and took the pensioner to the hospital.

As the hospital staff examined her, she burst into tears and told a medic that she tried to fight back.

She had multiple bruises on her neck and body.

Laming was found hiding in a garden on Christmas Eve, but he made no comment about the rape that he committed.

CCTV and DNA evidence helped the police link him to the sex attack.
