A Wipeout contestant has sadly passed away after completing the assault course.

The contestant, who was not named by the show, suffered a cardiac arrest after his attempt of completing the assault course.

According to reports, the man was on the show’s Sable Ranch set, which is located in Canyon Country, California, USA.

He was not on the course when he suffered a cardiac arrest, said reports.

A medic with the production team assisted the patient until the paramedics arrived at the scene, however, after being rushed to the hospital, the man passed away.

The production of Wipeout, the US reboot version of the show, has been paused for 2 days after the tragic incident.

The show officials did not give a timetable on when they would get back to shooting.

A spokesperson for the TBS network was in talks with the New York Post.

The network sent their condolences to the family of the contestant hat passed away.

The statement said:

We are devastated to have learned of his passing, and our deepest sympathy goes out to the family.

A spokesperson for Endemol Shine North America also sent out their condolences to the family of the contestant.

Our thoughts and prayers are also with the family of the victim, may his soul rest in peace.
