A beachgoer passed away after she was crushed to death by a tractor while she was sleeping at a beach in California, USA.3

The driver of the huge yellow Caterpillar wheel loader was removing pipes for a dredging project on Monday before the incident happened.

The driver only realized that they had done something wrong when he felt a bump and looked behind him.

Tom Bussey, a police spokesman, said that the driver thought he had hit a deep rut in the sand, but when he went back to look at it, he found the female lying there.

The woman, who was not identified for legal reasons, was snoozing on a beach in Oceanside, California.

She was pronounced dead at the scene after she was driver over by the 50,000-pound tractor.

The police taped off the large yellow machine after they launched an official investigation for the incident.

Local surfers confirmed that they had seen the woman at the beach earlier that day.

The police also think that the woman was in an intoxicated state as she was not looking good.

Jay Burneo added:

I think she was intoxicated. She did not look good. The lady was leaning up against the wall – looked like she was holding herself up. I was concerned about her and we asked her if she was OK and she seemed OK.

The police believe that the victim is homeless, her name, age, or color was not released by the authorities.

The woman was fully dressed when they got there, and she was not wearing any sort of beach attire.

The woman, who did not have any ID with her at the time, is around 40 years old.

The driver that ran over the woman worked for a construction company in Seattle, USA.
