Chris Gayle Thanked KXIP Team In Punjabi STYLE For Buying Him In The Auction

The IPL franchise Kings XI Punjab spent almost the entire amount from their Rs 80 crore purse at the Auction, signing some new faces for the 11th edition of the T20 League. Earlier, KXIP had never won an IPL but their team mentor Virender Sehwag believes that the 2018 season belongs to the Punjab unit.

In Punjab team, there are many new faces like KL Rahul, Chris Gayle, Finch, and Ashwin. Apart from the international player, many of the budding talents, as well as the experienced campaigners, came into the limelight at the auction.

Chris Gayle was unsold on the first day of the auction as he showed disastrous performance in last season. Despite being good with the bat, no team was interested in Gayle on the first day. He had a base price of Rs 2 crore, but he couldn’t make it to any team.

However, Gayle was lucky on the second day as KXIP owner Preity Zinta opted for him and purchased him at his base price. Gayle wasn’t chosen through RTM by RCB. Finally, Gayle will play for Kings XI Punjab. And now, it looks Gayle is very happy to be in the Punjab team, his recent gesture is showing everything.

Soon after Gayle was included in KXIP, he thanked them in a typical Punjabi style. Though it was an indirect way of thanking, we are sure all Punjabis will surely love it. He donned the Punjabi Pagdi and looked no less than a Sikh. Kings XI Punjab team shared the pic on Instagram with a caption, “Looks like @chrisgayle333 is already ready for his Punjab visit!”

Earlier on Sunday, things were looked pretty lean for the Jamaican as the Chennai Super Kings came out in the open on social media to tell exactly why they were not interested in him. However, fate had planned something for him and if Gayle clicks no boundary is small and no bowler is exceptionally well in front of the fiery batsman.

Among the new faces in KXIP, one such face is the Kashmiri cricketer Manzoor Dar. He has come into the estimations when he was bought by the Kings XI Punjab for his base price of Rs 20 lakhs. The story of the youngster seems to be very inspiring as he faced many struggles from his childhood. He did various jobs such as security guard, carpenter, etc for the living.

With this, it is shown that Gayle is all set for his Punjab visit and we can’t wait anymore. Are you excited too?
