David Warner Was Trolled Badly After He Released His Statement!!
Recently the world of cricket was shaken to the core when the ball-tampering scandal came into the limelight. Former Australian Captain, Steve Smith, and Vice Captain David Warner along with the bowler Cameron Bancroft were involved in this scandal and the bowler used a sandpaper to roughen up the ball on one side.
Steve and Cameron apologized to Australia and the cricket fans for their blunder and said that their one mistake is ruining their career.
But David Warner didn’t do the same which invited some unnecessary controversies about the star cricketer. He addressed the press after a couple of days
“To the fans and the lovers of the game, who have supported and inspired me on my journey as a cricketer, I want to sincerely apologize for betraying your trust in me. I have let you down badly. I hope in time I can find a way to repay for all you have given me and possibly earn your respect again.
To my teammates and support staff, I apologize for my actions and I take full responsibility for my part on what happened on day three in the Newlands Test. To Cricket Australia, I apologize for my actions and the effect it has had on our game under your care and control. I want you to know that I fully support your review in the culture of the Australian cricket team. South Africa is a fine cricketing nation. And deserves better from its guests and deserves better from me.”
He was seen breaking down multiple times while he addressed the media and apologized to everyone for his part of the error. But most of the people thought that he was just acting and didn’t mean whatever he said. Twitterati blasted him with trolls saying he could have acted better. Here are some of them,
Why a #DavidWarner has to do this. They earn so much today. They play test cricket. 20-20 one days. #IPL n #BBL in Australia. Then they shame modern day cricket. N create doubts about the game in minds of cricket lovers like me

Now we have the #DavidWarner instalment of snot and tears, three days after everyone else. Why do I feel like taking it with a healthy pinch of salt? #BallTampering

David Warner can give anyone a run for their money even if they manage to remake Godfather this year🤣🤣 @CricketAus#DavidWarner #CricketAustralia #Oscars

#DavidWarner did the same lame press conference with the Joe Roodt incident. Gives you a good indication of the intellectual capacity of the goon. DUMBASS!

#DavidWarner & #SteveSmith‘s acts have a much larger impact than what is being spoken about. Wouldn’t cricket fans the world over have reason to wonder if Australia’s victories in the 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007 & 2015 world cups and other tournaments were achieved through fair means?

You get the feeling from Warner’s press conference that CA will make an example out of him, just like they did with Symonds all those years. But is it enough to change Australia cricket team’s culture ? #CricketAustralia #DavidWarner #SandpaperGate

Sorry but I have no sympathies for @davidwarner31 , the way he has behaved over the years , it was about time his actions had repercussions . He might be a great batsman but he is a bully , a brat , instigator and then cries foul when it comes on him #davidwarner #sandpapergate

Just because they’re all emotional doesn’t mask the fact that they intentionally cheated. 1 year ban is justified as only now do they realise the gravity of what they did. They’re suffering because they brought this on themselves. #StevenSmith #DavidWarner #SandpaperGate

Well David Seems like no one are interested in forgiving you for the things you did!
